Farmers Transport has been carting loads around rural New Zealand since 1966. We are now part of the HWR group of companies who operate throughout NZ in the concrete, petroleum, transport, contracting, quarrying and waste industries. We aim to continue to grow and being part of the Hawke’s Bay community is very important to us.
Our story is about making the most of opportunities and sticking to what we’re good at. It’s about a series of collaborations and purchases during the last 50 years that have taken us well beyond the frontiers of Hawke’s Bay to become one of New Zealand’s most successful rural cartage companies and a recognised specialist in livestock transport.
Today we’re a business that’s well equipped to handle any rural cartage job. We operate a large fleet with a network of 5 branches in key regions of the North Island, and we have a team that understands the diverse yet specific needs of our agricultural economy.
Livestock customers, including farmers, agents, stock companies and our largest primary processors and exporters, look to us for our ability to plan, implement and manage livestock movements around the whole of New Zealand, and provide them with a trusted, single transporter option.
