Hawke’s Bay Rugby us delighted to announce that current Ireland and IRB World Rugby coach of the year Joe Schmidt will be the guest speaker at the HBRU’s “An Evening with Joe Schmidt” event to be held in the Exhibition Hall at the A&P Showgrounds in Hastings on Friday 5th April starting from 6pm.
Straight from a Six Nations campaign and prior to what looks it will be a fiercely contested Rugby World Cup this year we are very fortunate to have Joe involved. With Irelands recent wins over the All Blacks and the speculation surrounding Joes future and possible involvement with the All Blacks, this event will give you a chance to know a little about what makes the man tick, where he sees his future and stories from his experiences.
Being acknowledged as the world’s best rugby coach in 2018 this is a not to be missed occasion to host clients, book with friends or make up a table and enjoy this unique occasion.
Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union CEO, Jay Campbell, is excited to have Joe Schmidt join us for the evening “The HBRU is honoured to have Joe involved with this event and provides an outstanding opportunity for our rugby mad community to learn a little from his success and what motivates and drives him.
The timing of the evening is perfect as anticipation builds toward the Rugby World Cup especially given his Irish team are being talked up as one of the sides to beat. We look forward to seeing many of our commercial partners and members and encourage all Hawkes Bay businesses to join us as we kick off another exciting year for rugby in Hawke’s Bay”
Another feature of this evening will be a mixed live and silent charity auction featuring world-class sports memorabilia and unmatchable experiences. A number of amazing items will be available and this list will be distributed within the coming weeks, we are also looking for extra items to add to the offering and would love to hear from anyone who has something that they would like to kindly donate.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit The Jarrod Cunningham Youth Sports Trust. Trustee Damon Harvey adds “The Trust is thrilled to partner with Hawke’s Bay Rugby to promote participation in junior rugby. The trust has been a major supporter of rugby and many other sports as we aim to inspire greater participation”.
Tables generally sold in 6, 8 or 10 people at $185 incl GST (discounts apply for 2019 Magpies sponsors and members).
