National electrical supplies company Ideal Electrical is almost doubling its footprint in Hastings, as it anchors a new $6 million commercial development in the city.
Ideal Electrical Hastings branch manager David Gibbons said the move would see the branch increase its warehouse capacity from 600sq m to 1000sq m.
“It’s quite a big jump for us and it will have a covered drive-in area. It expands our storage space and more shop space, as well, to have more stock. So, it’s all looking pretty positive.
“We haven’t got enough space here and our lease is up, so rather than try and stay here we are expanding out.”
