Unison Embraces Integrated Business Platform

Unison has signed with ASX-listed TechnologyOne, to adopt OneEnergy; an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that will provide an integrated asset management and business operations platform. Unison Group Chief Executive, Ken Sutherland said Unison’s search for an integrated enterprise system is indicative of the business’s wider future focus and preparedness. “Our focus has been firmly on the future for a number of years now, strengthening our core capability through our smart network and becoming the first company in New Zealand to be certified to ISO 55001, widely regarded as the international standard for excellence in asset management. Implementing an integrated business operations platform further optimises our core business, greatly improving overall efficiency across our Group,” said Mr Sutherland. Unison Chief Information Officer, Mike McGarvey said the TechnologyOne platform offers the full breadth of functionality through a modern, mobile-optimised platform. “While we were reviewing the systems used for asset information and works management, it became clear an integrated suite of functions would be a much more transformative project, providing tighter data interaction and integrity,” said Mr McGarvey. “The benefits of a single, modern platform with mobile capability and powerful functions enables greater access to more detailed and robust information in a timely manner,” said Mr McGarvey. OneEnergy, developed in collaboration with leading Australian and New Zealand utilities and infrastructure customers, enables companies to manage business, customers, network, assets, work and resources from a single solution. TechnologyOne Chief Operating Officer, Stuart MacDonald said TechnologyOne was thrilled to partner with Unison over the next 10 years. “Our OneEnergy solution does just what it says on the label – it will provide Unison with one solution and one streamlined experience,” MacDonald said. “We’re seeing more and more organisations opt for a fully integrated ERP solution, as it simplifies operations and removes the complexity of dealing with multiple best-of-breed vendors.” Posted: 7 April 2019
