Over the last seven years their workforce has grown to 22 staff. They are continuing to grow by servicing new New Zealand clients who are currently supplied by our competitors and capitalising on Waipak’s competitive production rates, investment in technology, and innovation. STAFFING Waipak have built a great team and enjoy a low staff churn rate. They invest in staff training and incentivised remuneration. Waipak find local people are keen to work and learn new skills. They have regular door knock enquiries from people looking for work opportunities. Untitled_Panorama1-v2 CONNECTIVITY Waipak supply customers throughout New Zealand. Napier Port enables efficient supply of product to the South Island. Hawke’s Bay is well serviced by road transport companies throughout the North Island. There are very competitive transport rates out of Hawke’s Bay with trucks otherwise leaving empty. REGULATORY MATTERS The Waipak factory was a design and build project with construction taking only 4 months. The local commercial and industrial zonings are helpful for business and we have always found the local authority’s user friendly.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]INFRASTRUCTURE Given the region is a food and beverage hub, we are well supported by manufacturing and trade services from fluid engineers to electricians. The business infrastructure here is comprehensive and we are able to call on everything we need to keep a high tech manufacturing plant running. In terms of regional infrastructure, the local authorities and utility companies provide and maintain good networks. We have found them keen to help drive industry as we have established our business. WHY IN HAWKE’S BAY We settled here for all of the above reasons. The lifestyle is great. The cost of doing business is less and we have an extra day a week as we are not losing time in the traffic that you have in the larger cities.

_MG_1038-2 The water is free and there is no unnecessary red tape to work your way through here. It is an all-encompassing environment where people celebrate success. There has been a lot of high fiving over Kiwibank’s decision to locate here for example. We find people want to be helpful, whether it’s your developer, landlord, trucking company or others. We are very happy with our business decision to locate and invest here in Hastings. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
