A new role has been created to assist with the maintenance of the Council’s regional park, river and stream enhancement projects.

We want someone who has initiative, can work alone with a commitment to working in a safe manner, and an ability to effectively organise their own work programme. You need a positive work ethic, a can-do attitude, and have the physical ability, energy and enthusiasm to get the job done.

The day-to-day role involves a range of minor maintenance works in a number of regional parks and river recreational areas including Te Mata Park, Waitangi wetlands, Pakowhai Country Park and Tutira Regional Park, and will include enhancement planting, tree felling, weed spraying, track maintenance, fencing repairs, scrub baring and public liaison.
