East Coast Ballance Farm Environment Awards winners dedicated their award to the people of Christchurch after last week’s terror attack.
Hawke’s Bay dairy farmers Nick and Nicky Dawson paid tribute to Nick’s old town during their acceptance speech.
Nick Dawson said in his speech that, “it’s hard to be happy at a time like this when a lot of people in my hometown are going through such a terrible time”.
Dawson thought it was the right thing to say having grown up in Christchurch and still having most of his family still living in the region.
