NOW wins Consumer NZ top award

For years, HB-based internet services provider Now has been winning the CANSTAR awards for customer satisfaction. Note the emblems on the wall in the photo above.

CANSTAR is a ‘comparison research’ company that publishes product and service comparisons for consumers based on value, not price.

Nice enough recognition.

But now, for the first time, Now has just been awarded the Consumer NZ People’s Choice Award for Internet, outshining much larger competitors.

Now set a record for consumer satisfaction – with an overall score from Consumer NZ of 79% – well ahead of the industry average of 59%. “The numbers say it all, they’re a true testament to the hard work of the whole Now team. We’re thrilled that New Zealanders who have experienced the Now difference hold us in such high regard and trust us with their internet services,” says CEO Hamish White.

“It’s more than just an internet connection for us, for homes and businesses across NZ we’re there to help support customers in every way we can. We believe you don’t need to be the biggest to be the best – and our customers clearly appreciate our dedication to improving our industry.”

Consumer NZ surveyed almost 2000 New Zealanders on issues of connection speed, technical support, and value for money to find the winners.

Now’s performance was built on billing accuracy (84%) and clear contract terms (77%). And 80% of Now customers were very satisfied with the way in which they helped them choose an appropriate plan.
