Nexia Network expands to Hawke’s Bay

One of Hawke’s Bay’s oldest accounting and advisory firms has become a member of the Nexia Network, an Australasian industry leader, and part of the eighth largest accounting network in the world.

From 1 October Hamish Pringle, Ben Gilmour, Mark Knofflock and their team, formerly known as Moore Markhams, become part of the Nexia Network.

The firm remains locally owned, says Hamish Pringle, Director Nexia Hawke’s Bay.

“Nexia is a great fit for our business. We are still the same independently owned Hawke’s Bay firm that people know and trust, with all of the same familiar faces, but with a new name, a fresh look, and an enhanced offering.

“Our new Auckland and Christchurch colleagues bring additional skills to our Hawke’s Bay clients, and we bring our leading rural expertise to Nexia.

“As a firm we are committed to establishing strong relationships based on understanding, trust, and reliability. We are excited for this new chapter, and for the opportunities it brings to our people and clients,” says Mr Pringle.

Nexia New Zealand was established in 2016, following the merger of two Christchurch firms, Marriotts and HFK. In 2020, leading Auckland firm Hayes Knight became a Nexia member giving the network broader reach across the country.

Amy Murdoch, CEO Nexia Christchurch is pleased to welcome the Hawke’s Bay firm to the Nexia family.

“With Hawke’s Bay now part of our network, the Nexia New Zealand brand has more reach, size, and capability, bringing our combined team of accountants and advisors in three locations to more than 155 professionals.

“The team has an excellent skill set and client base, with particular expertise in rural and agribusiness, which strengthens the Nexia offering.

“Their firm has a proud history that stretches back to 1912, and we are looking forward to working with Hamish, Ben, Mark and their team,” commented Amy.
